MAC OS X Easter Eggs

Posted by stevencombs on November 16, 2006

For those not familiar:

“A virtual Easter egg is a hidden message or feature in an object such as a movie, book, CD, DVD, computer program, or video game. The term draws a parallel with the custom of the Easter egg hunt observed in many western nations.” – Wikipedia

It seems that MAC OS X has several of these little nuggets of fun located throughout. See the following link to learn how to activate and locate these Easter Eggs:

Mac OS X Easter Eggs, Hidden Secrets

I’m headed to the site now to view the To Bill from Steve Easter Egg.  Should be an interesting message!

UPDATE: Here’s an Easter Egg for my Windows XP readers:

“Here’s a little easter egg that lets you watch a text-animated version of Star Wars Episode IV. 1. Open Windows XP and go to Start, then run. 2. Type in or copy “telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl” without the commas. 3. Sit back and watch the ASCII movie” – From Digg.com
